Matt Llano broke the Great Halloween 10K record at the 5th Annual Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race, recording a time of 29:16. Llano eclipsed Ryan Bak’s record of 30:18, set back in 2009. Finishing second was Jordan Chipangama with a time of 30:12. Both Llano and Chipangama run for Team RunFan out of Flagstaff, AZ. Taking third place was Ryan Meyer, finishing in 30:42.

On the women’s side, GO! St. Louis Marathon record-holder Jackie-Pirtle-Hall returned to competitive racing and finished first with a time of 35:43. Hilary Orf, the 2012 Halloween 10K winner was second with a time of 36:01. Finishing third in the women’s division was local standout Crystal Harriss, with a 36:34.

In the Half Marathon, Mike Aitken crossed the line first with a time of 1:09:51. Finishing second was Charles Beiseman, and third place went to Matt Dirnbeck. For the women, Lea Duppe won the title with a time of 1:18:31, while Cheryl Held and Chelsea Klunick finished second and third.

More than 6,100 participants registered for the festive and fun race, which included a half marathon, 10K, 5K and a 1-Mile Fun Run.
