Strides for Schneids Virtual June Challenge (June 1-30)
a community fitness challenge and fundraiser celebrating the life and legacy of Bruce Schneider (1961–2022).
All proceeds benefit the Bruce Schneider Memorial Fund, which provides scholarships and opportunities for students at Lift For Life Academy through two signature initiatives:
The Bruce Schneider Extraordinary Citizen Award (“The Schneids”) — a $15,000 scholarship for graduating seniors who exemplify selflessness, strong character, and commitment to community
The Bruce Schneider Extracurricular Fund — provides up to $10,000 annually to remove financial barriers so students can fully participate in athletics, the arts, and other extracurricular activities.
Bruce was a devoted husband, father, and lifelong St. Louisan. Founder of Schneider Industries, he built his life on generosity, positivity, and deep care for the people around him. His motto: “Embrace the moment, live fully, and lift others along the way.”
The event features a 40-mile virtual route connecting several of Bruce’s favorite St. Louis landmarks, including Sportsman’s Park, Enterprise Center, and the Gateway Arch. Participants can walk, run, or move in their own way from anywhere, making the challenge accessible across the region and beyond.
