160410_naunheim_go_stlouis_marathon_078_newsGO! St. Louis is excited to announce that the 2017 Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend is set for April 8 and 9. This year’s lineup of events features all of the same wonderful GO! St. Louis races, including the second annual Mississippi 7K!

On Saturday, April 8, we invite you to join us in Forest Park for Family Fitness Day. This special day includes a 5K run/walk, the final Read Right and Run Marathon® mile, a mature mile and fun runs for the little ones. All all saturday participants receive an event shirt and a finishers medal.

The GO! St. Louis Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay and Mississippi 7K is scheduled for Sunday, April 9. They all share the same exciting and top-notch startline. The Mississippi 7K takes off with the whole pack across both bridges and runs through the Illinois section of course before finishing for a post-race celebration on historic Laclede’s Landing. Our friends on the landing will be there ready to welcome all 7K finishers and their families with breakfast, music and an adult beverage station.

The marathon, half marathon and marathon relay courses feature a beautiful, fun and challenging route lined with aid and water stations. The marathon is celebrating its 17th birthday this year and the half marathon is celebrating its 14th. This race has continued to be a St. Louis tradition, over the years. To commemorate this tradition the finish line area will host some of St. Louis hometown novelties, including Ted Drewes Frozen Custard and Pasta House Toasted Raviolis!

GO! St. Louis is also excited to announce that the GO! St. Louis Challenges are back!  Run the 5K Saturday April, 8 and the marathon or half marathon Sunday April, 9 to complete the GO! Short GO! Long Challenge! Registration is now open for this challenge.
